Spirit

UCR's Housing & Residential Life mascot, Norm T. Navel will be leading the way for a fun and spiritful conference alongside PACURH’s mascot, Jeremiah T. Frog. Delegations will be able to earn spirit points, called Norm points, both before and during the conference through spirit challenges!

Spirit Dress Up Days

There may not be a dress code for this conference, but there is a fun code! For each delegate dressed up, you will earn a Norm point for your delegation, up to 7!

Major Spirit Challenges

We want to showcase your delegation's creativity through our spirit challenges! Please complete these by Sunday, November 5th, 2023 at 11:59 PM PST.

Roll Call Video

We want to showcase your institution's delegation members through a video played at roll call!

Major Spirit Challenges Rubric

Roll Call Video

Basic Requirements

  • Is the video between 15 seconds and 45 seconds?

  • Does every delegate present have their preferred name, pronouns, and delegation position (Advisor, NCC, NRHH Representative, President, First Time Delegate, Returning Delegate)?

  • Does it include your institution's name?

Judging Rubric - Rated on a Scale of 1-5 by the Conference Team​

  • How well does it relate to our conference theme - A Fresh Squeeze of Leadership, citrus, and fruits?

  • How well does the video feature school spirit and/or their mascot for their delegation?

  • Is the video accessible? Does it have closed captioning (if dialogue is being used) and is the audio clear?

  • Is the video creative? Is it unique to the institution?

  • Is the video engaging/memorable? Does it leave a positive impression on conference attendees (and conference team)?

Institutional Chant

Basic Requirements

  • Is the chant between 10 seconds and 30 seconds?

Judging Rubric - Rated on a Scale of 1-5 by the Conference Team​

  • How well does it relate to our conference theme - A Fresh Squeeze of Leadership, citrus, and fruits?

  • How well does the video feature school spirit and/or their mascot for their delegation?

  • Is the chant creative? Is it unique to the institution?

  • Is the chant engaging/memorable? Does it leave a positive impression on conference attendees (and conference team)?

Banner

Basic Requirements

  • Is the banner smaller than 3300x2550px?

  • Does every delegate present have their preferred name?

  • Does it include your institution's name?

  • Does it mention RLC 2023 and its host, UC Riverside?

Judging Rubric - Rated on a Scale of 1-5 by the Conference Team​

  • How well does it relate to our conference theme - A Fresh Squeeze of Leadership, citrus, and fruits?

  • How well does the video feature school spirit and/or their mascot for their delegation?

  • Is the banner creative? Is it unique to the institution?

  • Is the banner engaging/memorable? Does it leave a positive impression on conference attendees (and conference team)?

Submission Form

Your roll call video, banner, and institutional chant must be submitted by your NCC by October 30th, 2023 at 11:59 PM PST.
